GOSPEL LEGENDS WIN GOLD CUP

Tonight the Gospel Legends showed why they are a group for the future.  They won the Gold Cup at the Blockbuster program in Lake City.  With groups like the Gospel Four, Slim & The Supreme Angels, and Doc McKenzie and The Hi-Lites, winning the cup was no easy task.  But the Gospel Legends ministered in such a way that left no doubt that they are now ready for primetime.

Pre-Easter Program

On Thursday, March 17th, L.C. Ministries presented a Pre-Easter Concert featuring "The Doctor", Doc McKenzie and The Hi-Lites, Curlee Morrison and 4 Real, The Rising Stars, The Ballard Sister, Rev. Matthew Mickens and The Highway Travelers.

This celebration was scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., however it started about 7:25 p.m.  It begin with The Ballard Sisters featuring Little Eddie Cabbagestalk, Jr. on keyboard.  This young man is good.   Next was Curlee Morrison and 4 Real from North Carolina.  This was their first time performing in South Carolina on a concert.  However, you would have thought they would have been performing here for years.  The crowd was on their feet the entire time.

Rev. Matthew Mickens and The New Highway Travelers were next.  They came out like a bolt of lighting.  Rev. Mickens and sons as always blessed the audience in a special way.  After they left the stage people were still shouting and praising God.  The sponsor, Loretta Coleman, called them back on stage and they ended with "What King of Power do you have?"

The Rising Stars was next.  Although, they were without one of their lead singers Hermon, they was at their best as always.  Then came "The Doctor"  What can we say, from the beginning until the end, the Hi-Lites had the people on their feet.  Doc McKenzie and The Hi-Lites didn't just perform, they ministered to the needs of the people.  Every-time they left the stage the people screamed and yelled for them to come back.  Doc and the guys  ministered for about an hour and 20 minutes.

The special highlight of the evening was when L.C. Ministries donated monetary gifts to The Sickle Cell Foundation to support (5) children for Easter.  In addition to the monetary gifts L. C. Ministries also present them with (5) Easter Baskets.  This night will indeed go down in history.
