American Gospel Quartet Convention

South Carolina was well represented at the 2006 American Gospel Quartet Convention (AGQC).  Flossie Johnson, of Flossie and The Singing Sisters, attended the convention.  Also, Doc McKenzie and The Hi-Lites attended the convention.  Although, The Singing Sisters did not perform at the convention, it was still great to have Flossie in attendance.  Doc and The Hi-Lites performed three (3) out of the five (5) nights of the convention.

Blanche Goodson, who serves on the Advisory Board of the AGQC and is the director of the convention’s announcers division, was very instrumental in ensuring that the performers were called to the stage in a timely manner.  According to Ms. Goodson, those in attendance really enjoyed Doc and The Hi-Lites.
